Community Service--Hurley and Iron County

Since Spring 2021, there are two components to our community service:

  1. Promoting return of rail service to the out-of-service rail line between White Pine and Marengo Junctions, crossing Iron County north of Hurley and through Saxon; and
  2. Supporting community development, education, independent journalism.

Family Heritage Project

The “Varda Family Iron County Heritage Archives” of this website features many articles from  the Iron County Miner and other publications tracing the Varda, Cattelino and Gallo families from their arrival in Iron County in the early 20th Century.
